Yesterday was Alex’s 11th Birthday and she was extra lovely. Every meal was a special one and I even made the boat’s first cake. As you will see from the photo, we had to improvise a bit! Every meal was a special one starting with breakfast. Unfortunately, both this and lunch on board was better than the meal we paid too much for at the restaurant near where we stayed in Kapi Creek. But we can hardly complain, of course!

H. I must confess about the cake. I forgot to put the eggs in so when we cut it, it all fell apart! No matter, it’s the thought that counts, hey (though that’s not stopping me hearing about it constantly!). And they still ate it!
